What's in a Game?

Concept Hunter - March

With this one, we go into the fun debate of what constitutes a game. Is any interactivity enough, or does it have to mean something?

March

Concept Hunter is a weekly show focusing short games with cool concepts. Every Tuesday I find an interesting  game and pick it apart from a game design perspective.

Here are things that are mostly not games but maybe a little bit:

Yeah, I agree. Not really a game... I didn't love the story either, so I didn't feel like there was much there. The pixel art was kinda fun.

I don't think anyone can really know what makes up a good game. I really just think game designers make what they think is cool.

What is a game? It is still debatable in academic game studies. Well, I like the definition given by Jesper Juul. http://www.jesperjuul.net/text/gameplayerworld/

Well, it is just game design discussion. It doesn't meaning one is not a good thing if it is not a *game*.
